James Augustine Aloysius Joyce (2 February 1982-13 January 1941) was an Irish writer, recognized worldwide as one of the most important and influential artists. Joyce is acclaimed for his masterpiece, Ulysses, and later for his controversial novel, Finnegans Wake.
